Penny Ward

Founder of Positiviq

Penny founded Positiviq to offer a grounded, human-centred approach to complex and high-impact work, spanning change, strategy, leadership, wellbeing, and systems transformation.

Drawing on over 25 years of experience across government, defence, and industry, she created Positiviq to integrate behavioural science, positive psychology, practical change expertise, and a strong sense of service.

It reflects her belief that meaningful, sustainable change happens when people are supported with the right tools, clear direction, and the conditions to grow and thrive.

As a veteran-owned business, Positiviq brings discipline, clarity, and care to every engagement supporting people and systems to adapt, evolve, and succeed.

  • Penny is an organisational change and leadership development specialist with over 25 years of experience delivering capability uplift across government and industry, including national security, defence, health, and aged care. She is known for enabling individuals and organisations to navigate complex change by combining evidence-based frameworks with a deep understanding of the human side of transformation.

    She has strong expertise in aligning human capital management, change, and transformation programs with core capability frameworks. She has designed and delivered leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring initiatives that support specialist skills development and build future talent pipelines. 

    Penny draws on deep contextual experience, including the nuanced demands of high-trust, high-security environments, as well as applied behavioural science and positive psychology.
